Pneumatic cylinder and hydraulic cylinder testing for rail car applications has been a long-standing feature of Clark’s mechanical qualification testing services. Clark provides proof load testing and cyclical aging for a variety of cylinders including hydraulic brake cylinders or pneumatic cylinders for hopper or gate actuation.

Our lab has capabilities to conduct pressure, pulse and burst testing. We have multiple hydraulic power supplies and can simulate environmental conditions cycling hydraulic cylinders, actuators, valves and hoses. All hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder testing can be conducted under vibration and thermal conditions to simulate the actual field environment.

All testing is conducted under the guidance of Clark’s ISO 17025-2017 quality assurance program ensuring the calibration, validity and quality of test data provided.
