Railcar component load testing such as knuckles, yokes & drawbar testing may require significant loads and millions of cycles in order to complete a representative life cycle aging test. Clark’s structures lab has the infrastructure to conduct multiple test programs to qualify railcar coupling components for field use.

Our modular load frames and custom fixturing enables us to apply loads and conduct fatigue testing on knuckles, locks, pivot pins and rail coupler assemblies. We test Type E Couplers, E/F Coupler Yokes and H Type Couplers to EN16019 and AAR specifications.
