XRF Analysis

XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) analytical testing is conducted on a wide ranges of materials applying non-destructive methods to determine trace or major elements. XRF testing provides analysis of minerals, polymers, oils, deposits, metals, sediments and fluids.

XRF works using wavelength-dispersive spectroscopy providing quantitative and semi-quantitative analysis of elements. Test sample are irradiated with an X-ray beam illuminating the sample with X-rays to determine the unique characteristic of the sample’s elements. The XRF then captures and classifies the behavior of atoms when they interact with X-radiation in order to determine the material’s chemical make-up.

Simplicity of sample preparation, test stability, variety of elements and ease of use qualifies, XFR analysis as one of the most commonly used methods for analysis of solids, powders, liquids, granules, films, pellets, beads, discs, filters, fibers, castings, and more.

XRF Applications Include:

  • X-Ray Image Analysis
  • Quantitative Analysis
  • Qualitative Analysis
  • Elemental Analysis
  • Polymer Analysis
  • XRF Screening
  • XRF Imaging
